Sewer Inspection Technician

Job Summary:
The City of Dayton is seeking a highly skilled Sewer Inspection Technician to join our team. As a Sewer Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the city's wastewater collection system.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain the city's wastewater collection system
- Clean manhole castings and chimneys for equipment setup
- Locate and identify sewer defects and inflow and infiltration points
Requirements:
- Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.)
- Three years of experience in sewer system inspection or construction, or one year of experience with pipe assessment/conditioning rating
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement
- Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection Operator Certification within 24 months of appointment
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina and be able to work in a team environment.
