Water Resources Engineer Job Description

At Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP, we are committed to delivering high-quality projects and services to our clients. We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in our Wilmington, DE office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) watershed analysis
  • Prepare or modify CADD drawings/construction plan documents
  • Design water quality, quantity, and green infrastructure systems
  • Design storm sewer conduit systems
  • Erosion and sediment control design
  • Bridge/culvert hydraulics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer required
  • Experience designing drainage, stormwater management systems/BMP's, erosion and sediment pollution controls; and preparing contract documents preferred
  • Experience with H/H design software including HY-8, NRCS (TR-55/TR-20); HydroCAD, StreamStats, HEC-RAS, et. al preferred
  • Hands-on experience with MicroStation CADD software
