Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Technician to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist perioperative team members with the preparation of operating rooms for patient surgical procedures
  • Ensure that all surgical supplies and equipment are available and assist with patient-related activities as assigned
  • Maintain established procedures and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Restock anesthesia carts and maintain stock inventory of drugs, anesthetic agents, and expendable supplies
  • Perform glucometer and ACT waiver testing and report abnormal recordings to surgical services management
  • Assist with connecting anesthesia monitoring equipment and positioning patients as directed
  • Communicate effectively with team members and respond to emergency situations
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area, observing infection control guidelines
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • One year of clinically related experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required
  • Respiratory Care airway management preferred
  • CPR certification required
