Job Summary:

As an Exercise Physiologist at Gundersen Health System, you will play a vital role in implementing and supervising physical exercise programs for patients with various health conditions. Key Responsibilities:

Effectively assess patients before, during, and after exercise, and initiate appropriate interventions to ensure their safety.
Direct patients in performing prescribed exercises at the facility and instruct them on home exercises.
Communicate the program's philosophy and goals to patients, assist them in setting rehabilitation goals, and provide teaching and counseling as needed.
Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and chart progress at regular intervals.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care and adhere to regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
1 year of successful completion of a clinical internship or prior work experience in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent.
