- Perform initial mental health evaluations to determine treatment needs.

- Engage in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to collaborate on patient care.
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
- Utilize SOAPE format for progress notes to monitor patient advancements.
- Implement community psychiatric treatment standards and ethical practices.
- Conduct mental status examinations during clinical interviews.
- Analyze medical and psychological symptoms for accurate diagnosis.
- Review historical mental health records to inform treatment planning.
- Consult with supervisory psychiatrists on complex cases and participate in clinical discussions.
- Provide guidance to psychiatric staff on challenging cases.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with correctional formulary guidelines.
- Interpret laboratory results and coordinate with medical services as necessary.
- Assess and determine appropriate psychiatric and general medical treatments.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient needs.
