Nurse Manager

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Pre-Op and PACU team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring that our unit meets or exceeds cost, quality, clinical, and utilization standards.
Essential Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the delivery of nursing services and patient care within the Pre-Op and PACU unit, ensuring that it meets or exceeds quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce length of stay, and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient flow.
- Supervise and develop the skills of nursing staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure they meet the needs of our patients and the organization.
- Manage unit budgets, staffing, and resources to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Participate in departmental and organizational initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, quality, and safety.
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department required, including one (1) year of leadership experience.
- BSN or bachelor's degree in a relevant field required or completion of a relevant bachelor's degree within two (2) years of hire.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, JCAHO, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- ACLS certification.
- Masters degree.
