Speech Language Pathologist - School Year Position

At AB Staffing Solutions, we're dedicated to connecting education professionals with meaningful roles in schools across the United States. We're currently seeking qualified Speech Language Pathologists to join our team for the school year in Elkton, MD.

Position Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you'll provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing and planning individualized treatment plans, intervening and improving student communication, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop strategies that support student participation in the classroom and social activities.

Essential Functions
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication issues in students and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Intervention and Improvement: Use proven methods to enhance students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.
  • Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and apply strategies that support student participation in the classroom and social activities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for the best results.
  • Education and Guidance: Provide guidance to parents, teachers, and staff on ways to support and improve students' communication skills.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate and current records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing information.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech language pathology.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and ethical standards for speech language pathology in schools.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or similar program.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: Maryland license for Speech and Language Therapy, or eligibility to become licensed.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $60/hr. - $68/hr.
