Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
  • Perform multi-function operations of the fuel console, lottery machine, and other equipment.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness, and report any issues to management.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and verifying vendor deliveries.
  • Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Working Conditions:
  • Work indoors for approximately 95% of the time, with occasional outdoor work to clean parking lots and gas pumps.
  • Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while working in the walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
  • Occasional exposure to noise.
Physical Functions:
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to one hour of workday.
  • Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands up to all day.
