Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer III will apply electrical design knowledge, skills, and abilities to create construction drawings for the project owner and provide continuous professional support throughout the construction process.

This role serves as the primary liaison responsible for coordination and communication activities between the design team and the client/customer, providing project management oversight and professional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately and timely
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and complete proposals and engineering agreements
  • Produce electrical design elements consistent with project specifications, within project hours, scope, and parameters
  • Produce electrical construction documents appropriate for permitting, based on project specifics
  • Research design options consistent with project requirements
  • Produce accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parameters
  • Execute QA/QC process accurately and consistently
  • Provide project coordination with in-house and outside sources
  • Consult on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes, and standards, consistent with company quality standards
  • Participate in post-design consultation activities and represent the company in client meetings through construction completion
  • Assist in the preparation of other documents germane to a project, with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Responsible for on-boarding and overseeing junior engineers
  • Actively mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Provide timely billing of projects to the accounting department
  • Follow established work rules, policies, and procedures
  • Engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
  • Cooperatively take on other duties, roles, or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience
  • Expert knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Knowledge of engineering drafting standards
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and other trades
  • Demonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
  • Knowledge of AutoCad
  • Knowledge of Revit
  • Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT and/or PE preferred
Travel Requirements

Travel is anticipated between 0-10%
