About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Railway Cleaner to join our team at the Metropolitan Council. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our light rail vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform interior cleaning of light rail vehicles, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Communicate with train operators and rail control center about biohazards, graffiti, and safety issues.
  • Operate a truck to transport cleaning supplies and trash disposal.
  • Perform related work as apparent or assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience cleaning the interior and exterior of large passenger vehicles or trains is desired.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
