Position Overview
As a Part-Time Pharmacist at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, you will engage in a flexible work schedule of 20-24 hours per week, primarily in a closed-door pharmacy environment. Your role will involve stepping in during peak times or when regular pharmacists are unavailable due to leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee workflow processes, including the verification and labeling/packaging of medications.
  • Assess medication orders for appropriateness and completeness.
  • Adhere to federal and local pharmacy regulations as mandated by the State of Kansas Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
  • Execute all responsibilities with a friendly, positive, and collaborative attitude.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses or certifications in good standing.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and standards diligently.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; three years is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid State of Kansas Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License is required.
  • Experience with order entry is essential.
  • A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical records is advantageous.
  • Experience with FrameworkLTC is a plus.
  • A positive demeanor and ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Aptitude for de-escalating and resolving issues within the pharmacy.
