Job Title: Community Director

Clark University is seeking a Community Director to join our team. As a live-in professional, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day community development and operations of a residential community of up to 600 students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train 8-15 Resident Advisers
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Residential Curriculum model
  • Serve as a University Hearing Officer
  • Provide leadership for students and staff to initiate and evaluate educational, social, recreational, and community service programs
  • Manage professional development, staff development, and hall programming budgets
  • Coordinate staff efforts to serve as a liaison between residents and campus partners
  • Support the Assistant Director for Housing Operations in managing residential facilities and operating residence halls
  • Support the Assistant Director for Residential Education in planning and implementing RA training programs
  • Oversee Hall Councils for respective residential communities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Previous residential life experience at the RA or professional level is strongly preferred
  • Flexible and adaptable, high-energy approach to student development and proven ability to engage students
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Basic budgeting skills
