Job Summary:

Lochner is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various transportation engineering projects, including roadway, bridge, and traffic design. You will be responsible for performing engineering design tasks under the direction of an experienced Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

* Perform roadway, bridge, traffic, and electrical engineering design tasks under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
* Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
* Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
* Manage and maintain project documentation.
* Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.

Requirements:

* Experience in engineering is a plus, but not necessary.
* Ability to graduate within 1-2 years from an accredited Engineering college program with at least a BSCE in Civil/Structural Engineering is expected.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with CADD software is a plus.
* EIT certification or the ability to obtain one prior to graduation.
