Job Responsibilities

  • Avera expects all nurses to deliver competent nursing care and exhibit professionalism in their role as an RN.
  • The American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice are reflected in this position's responsibilities.
  • The Registered Nurse is accountable for employing the nursing process to provide care for patients.
  • The RN takes responsibility for their actions and the outcomes of the patient care provided during their shift.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is highly preferred. Graduation from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or fulfill multi-state licensure requirements.
  • It is strongly recommended to complete life-saving education relevant to the specialty area.
  • Certification in the specialty area is encouraged.
  • Membership in a professional nursing organization is encouraged.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is outlined below. Actual pay rate will be based on experience.

  • $44.25 per hour
