Job Title: Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems for our satellite mission management and telemetry, tracking, and control (TT&C) applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and design software systems, including requirement analysis, development, and testing.
  • Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
  • Utilize software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and handle routine tasks.
  • Solve problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA with a minimum of 2 years of experience; MS/MA with 0 years of experience; 6 years of additional experience may be applicable in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience designing and developing software utilizing Java/C/C++.
  • Software development methodologies and life cycles.
  • Satellite Mission Operations and TT&C SW.
  • Experience with Linux, preferably RHEL 8.x/9.x.
  • Familiarity with the Agile Product Development Cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Amazon Web Services cloud architecture and tools associated with cloud development and security.
  • Active involvement in the peer-review process, to include providing thorough code reviews and receiving critical feedback.
  • Client-side development using HTML5, JavaScript, Python, and CSS3.
  • Experience with Server-side development through REST.
  • Designing and developing software for Satellite Mission Management or TT&C applications.

Target Salary Range:

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
