Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Trial Preparation: Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files to ensure a smooth trial process.
  • Document Drafting: Draft pleadings, discovery, and correspondence to support our attorneys.
  • Electronic Filing: Proficiently file and serve pleadings and discovery electronically.
  • Record Summarization: Summarize records and reports, including depositions, medical records, and internal documents.
  • Support for Hearings and Depositions: Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and depositions.
  • Expert Witness Communication: Correspond with expert witnesses and research using Westlaw.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain attorney calendars and schedules, and work with court staff to obtain hearing dates and trial schedules.
Requirements:
  • Superior Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively interact and communicate with others at all organizational levels and locations.
  • Attention to Detail: Attentive to details with good follow-through and follow-up, and the ability to anticipate needs.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Knowledge of iManage strongly preferred, and experience with Coyote, iTimekeep, or other timekeeping software required.
