We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist to join our team at Crisp Regional Health System.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting basic evaluation, assessment, and treatment of sleep disorders. They will work under the direction of the Manager and/or a Registered Technologist to perform polysomnographic, diagnostic, and therapeutic services and patient care and education.

In this role, you will collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and Center protocols. You will also interview patients to assess current medications, recent caffeine or alcohol ingestion, and current sleep pattern, and identify any potential need for treatment intervention during testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment required to determine proper functioning.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards and perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals.
  • Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
  • Follow procedural protocols such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc., to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Establish and document baseline values, verify integrity of collected data, and complete the data collection process.
  • Monitor study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages, clinical events, changes in procedure, and significant events.

You will implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc. You will also recognize and provide age-specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
