Faculty Position in Inorganic Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Inorganic Chemistry. We seek a colleague who will establish a vigorous research program, with expertise in the synthesis of molecular compounds. The successful candidate will also be committed to teaching chemistry at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and promoting the success of historically underrepresented and marginalized student communities.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, and postdoctoral experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program that aligns with the department's strengths and interests, and to contribute to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the department and the university.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, and postdoctoral experience is desirable. The candidate must also have a strong research record, a commitment to teaching and mentoring, and a demonstrated ability to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
