Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team at Divert. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for all CDL driving needs for our Turlock location and the customers we serve. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CDL Class A driving duties for the company, adhering to all DOT, FMCSA regulations, and in-house rules.
- Complete daily truck logs via Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to record mileage and reports.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections via ELD and/or DVIR, reporting any issues or damage to management.
- Adequately perform all physical functions necessary for a truck driver, ensuring safe transportation of trailer loads/cargo.
- Install tire chains as necessary, following DOT or state requirements.
- Complete trailer swaps to optimize business operations.
- Communicate daily with the Divert Logistics and Operations team to ensure alignment and minimize business disruption.
- Retrieve and turn in necessary paperwork to the proper team members/Customer at the given Origin/Destination.
- Fuel tractors as needed, using the Fuel Card supplied by the company. In emergency situations, personal payment methods may be used with management approval.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Manage routes and routines for efficient operations.
- Class A CDL required
- Minimum of 2 years Experience in a driver position required
- Dump Experience - End dump, side dumps, dump trucks preferred
- Doubles hauling experience and endorsement required
- Willingness to perform multiple hauls/routes depending on business needs
- Ability to perform duties occasionally outside of driving work, such as using a forklift
- Familiarity and comfort with Slip Seating
- $30.05 per hour, including night shift and weekend differential
- Overtime eligibility over 40 hours/week, with overtime expected as necessary
