We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Martin County Hospital District. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiology procedures in accordance with clinicians' orders, exam protocols, and instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiology procedures in accordance with clinicians' orders, exam protocols, and instructions.
- Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Assess and interpret data on patients.
- Identify patient requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provide care as stipulated in the departmental policy.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment, maintain all equipment in appropriate operating condition, and maintain examination rooms and work areas keeping all necessary items stocked.
- Monitor radiology procedures and exams and provide quality imaging.
- Provide all services needed for patients while maintaining a positive patient relation atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files as directed.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Radiology care team, clinicians, and other department personnel to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care.
- Follow aseptic procedures and precautions when involved in direct patient contact or handling potentially infectious material.
- Follow safety and infection control guidelines and policies established by the hospital.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licensed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, ARRT registration.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board, MRT registration.
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers.
- Minimum two (2) years experience as an ARRT and MRT Registered Technologist.
- Knowledge of all radiologic equipment.
- Proficient at all general studies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in CT required.
- Ability to operate all Radiology Equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, also sterile and infection control guidelines.
- Knowledge of the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and procedures to avoid exposure to infectious materials or equipment.
- Organizes time and sets priorities to accomplish workload.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area to ensure general safety.
- Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain competence.
- Annually completes all required in-service and training.
- Completes all required CE credits to maintain licensure.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area of imaging.
- The ability to communicate effectively in the English language, in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful, or emergency situations.
