Environmental Specialist

As an Environmental Technician with HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors in Catlettsburg, KY, you will be part of our safety-conscious team that tackles tough problems through innovation and proven methodology.

This hands-on position involves active field work responsible for tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. You will operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment, Ultra High-Pressure pumps, and other specialized equipment. Additionally, you may need to examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.

• You must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be able to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Able to understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
• OSHA certification may be required for this job, and you must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.

• Tools, equipment, and large machinery used, including industrial cleaning equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain 24/7 availability, work in extreme temperatures, and handle heavy lifting.

Competitive wages range from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
