Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Auto Collision Journey Level Body Tech to join our team at Chilton Auto Body in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for examining vehicles for collision-related damage and documenting the time and effort required to repair and refinish vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine vehicles for collision-related damage and document the time and effort required to repair and refinish vehicles to pre-accident condition.
  • Tear down and re-assembly of vehicles.
  • Welding with MIG and Spot resistance welders.
  • Replacing panels.
  • Straighten, grind, sand and fill repair panels.
  • Repairing frames and unibody using frame rack.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in automotive collision repair necessary (3+ years for A-tech level).
  • Knowledge of automotive disassembly and reassembly.
  • I-CAR certifications not required, but are a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and have a high standard for quality.
  • Must provide your own basic tools.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must agree to and pass a thorough background check.

Pay Rate: $40-45 A-Tech; $30-40 B-Tech; $18-30 C-Tech

Descripción del trabajo:

Estamos buscando un técnico experimentado en desmontaje y montaje de colisión de automóviles para unirse al equipo de Chilton Auto Body en varias de nuestras ubicaciones en el área de la Bahía de San Francisco.

Responsabilidades clave:

  • Examinar vehículos en busca de daños relacionados con la colisión y documentar el tiempo y el esfuerzo necesarios para reparar y restaurar los vehículos a la condición previa al accidente.
  • Desmontaje y reensamblaje de vehículos.
  • Soldadura con MIG y Spot resistencia.
  • Reemplazo de paneles.
  • Rectificar, afilar, pulir y rellenar paneles de reparación.
  • Reparación de marcos y unibody utilizando un banco de marcos.

Requisitos:

  • Experiencia previa en reparación de colisiones automotrices necesaria (3+ años para nivel A-tech).
  • Conocimientos de desmontaje y montaje de automóviles.
  • No se requiere certificación I-CAR, pero es un plus.
  • Debe ser detallista, organizado y tener un alto estándar de calidad.
  • Debe proporcionar sus propias herramientas básicas.
  • Debe ser elegible para trabajar en los EE. UU.
  • Debe estar de acuerdo y pasar una exhaustiva verificación de antecedentes.
