Job Title: Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a skilled Operating Room Tech to join their team. As an Operating Room Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Tech will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and ensuring a sterile environment
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room, including disposing of biohazardous waste and restocking supplies
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Nationally Certified in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute Surg Tech experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Trauma Experience preferred, not required
  • Travel experience preferred, not required
