Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a 12-week contract basis. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
  • Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients' motor skills, dexterity, coordination, and independence for daily living skills
  • Monitor and document clients' progress toward goals, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress outside of therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and billing information
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of job performance

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
  • State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
