Estimator Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Estimator II, III, or Sr. to join our team at MasTec Industrial. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity surveys and bids for projects in the Power Generation sector.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned projects
- Complete assignments within agreed-upon timeframes
- Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier quotations or scheduling input as required
- Participate in plan review and estimate reviews for respective projects
- Assist in compiling historical cost data for projects
- Confirm lists of subcontractors/suppliers proposing on projects
- Collaborate with Architects/Engineers to request clarifications or additional information
- Attend project meetings and perform site investigations as assigned
- Become familiar with all estimating software
Requirements
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of two years of estimating experience required
- Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations
- Ability to participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors

Travel Requirements
This is a remote position with up to 50% travel depending on projects and business need. Travel will encompass work sites throughout our footprint across the United States, to ensure visibility and access to resources needed to effectively bid potential projects and build partnerships with operational teams. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will be provided.
