Position Overview:
The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist, under the supervision of a Cardiologist, conducts echocardiographic examinations at a proficient level that does not necessitate continuous oversight, along with other responsibilities as assigned.
This role demands independent decision-making, creativity, and initiative to utilize non-ionizing high-frequency ultrasonic waves for cardiographic assessments, whether pre-scheduled or urgent.
The specialist will engage in clinical functions, including on-call duties, within the imaging sectors of Echocardiography, Surgical Units, Mobile Units, and Nursing Departments.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates must have successfully completed a recognized training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate proficiency in the field.
Certification as a National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required within the first year of employment.
Current Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory upon hiring.- Certification must be obtained upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience is preferred.
