Job Summary: RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Services: Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.
  • Patient Preparation: Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination, prepares patients for MRI procedures, and explains the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.
  • Scan Parameters: Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed to ensure high-quality images.
  • Communication: Converses with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required, and maintains positive working relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers.
  • Record Keeping: Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintains equipment in good working order, cleans and disinfects equipment after each use, and assists with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in MRI technology or a related field.
  • Certifications: ARRT (R) certification in MRI required.
