Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for marketing and originating mortgage loans that meet regulatory and investor guidelines. You will work closely with our sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with customers and referral partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze loan applications to ensure compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines
  • Structure loans to ensure compliance with product guidelines
  • Submit loan applications through DU/LP and review findings to ensure borrower eligibility
  • Enter loan information into our mortgage loan origination system and order appraisals
  • Solicit and take loan applications in a professional and timely manner
  • Evaluate credit factors and eligibility to ensure loan applications meet guideline requirements
  • Provide borrower compliance information and disclosures
  • Price loans according to guidelines and secure signed lock agreements
  • Review Closing Disclosure and prepare borrowers for closing
  • Develop individual marketing plans to expand market share and stimulate loan production
Requirements
  • B.A. or minimum of three years of mortgage banking experience
  • Two years of mortgage banking sales experience
  • NMLS registration
  • Familiarity with all mortgage banking functions, FNMA, FHLMC, HUD/VA Lending, regulatory compliance, and investor guidelines
  • Ability to strategically plan to market and develop business contacts
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
