Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our division building and related property. This includes sweeping and cleaning the entire warehouse, emptying trash bins, and performing light maintenance duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have previous custodial experience, be able to read and write legibly, and have basic mathematical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  1. Empties trash bins and cleans the trash area daily, operating the trash compactor when applicable.
  1. Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
  1. Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product, recoups damages, and determines if resalable or must be disposed of according to government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
  1. Performs light maintenance duties as assigned, including replacement of light bulbs, collection of recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.
  1. Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
  1. Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas.
  1. Operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift as required to perform duties.

Requirements:
  • High school education or GED preferred.
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
