Veterinary Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician III to join our team at the Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies. As a Veterinary Technician III, you will play a critical role in supporting our government customer located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and research personnel with examinations and procedures, including animal handling and restraint.
- Clean and sanitize animal rooms, facilities, and equipment.
- Administer clinical treatments, maintain accurate documentation, and recognize changes in animal clinical condition.
- Perform anesthesia recovery and post-operative care, as well as basic laboratory procedures.
- Work under indirect supervision on invasive medical and/or surgical procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification as a Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) required.
- At least two to four years' laboratory experience desired.
- Experience with anesthesia and animal veterinary technical support in a DoD environment preferred.
