Custodian Role at Louisiana State Gov

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of custodians and other employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees, providing training and support to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Order supplies and maintain accurate time and attendance records.
  • Wash laboratory glassware by hand and/or automated washer, and mix or blend cleaning solutions to proper concentrations.
  • Sterilize glass and instruments, and perform other tasks as required to maintain a clean and safe environment.
