A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIBER SPLICER TECHNICIAN

As a Fiber Splicer Technician, you play a crucial role in our operations. You are the representative of our company, ensuring that we uphold the high standards we set. Your responsibilities include completing scheduled cable installations, performing cable splicing, executing fiber terminations, and conducting maintenance on cable and fiber optic systems. Your expertise in interpreting complex splicing installation prints is essential as you test, certify, and document cable installations.

With a keen eye for detail, you will troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues. You will perform your duties safely, both indoors and outdoors, while utilizing the necessary safety equipment. Accurate documentation of all fiber optic cabling and maintenance activities is vital to your role. You will enjoy engaging with new clients daily and take pride in delivering exceptional service.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIBER SPLICER TECHNICIAN

  • 2-4+ years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • This position is classified as Safety Sensitive

Experience in copper splicing is preferred, and telecom certifications are a plus. Do you possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills? Is your attention to detail exemplary? If so, you may be an ideal candidate for this role.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position typically operates Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, with occasional weekend and evening work required. Travel may also be necessary.
