We are seeking an experienced Lead Crew Arborist to join our team at Lewis Tree Service Inc. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for leading a tight-knit group and creating a positive team environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company. As a Lead Crew Arborist, you will be involved in planning and executing daily work for your crew, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a crew of skilled arborists in tree trimming, removal, and spraying operations
  • Interpret customer orders and plan daily work for the crew, considering factors such as time, equipment, and weather conditions
  • Perform Pre-Job Hazard Surveys and assign tasks based on individual knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Climb trees and operate aerial lifts to perform trimming and removals in and above power lines
  • Prepare, maintain, and operate equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools
Requirements:
  • Two years or more experience working as a Trimmer/Climber around utility lines
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team
  • Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and arboriculture techniques
  • Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to on-the-job safety practices
