Position Overview:
The Clark Family Branch is looking for a dedicated Custodian to undertake a variety of cleaning tasks aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and appealing look of the Library facility, both inside and out.

The St. Louis County Library is committed to offering resources and services that enrich minds, enhance lives, and broaden perspectives. As an award-winning library system, we serve over 860,000 patrons through our various branches across St. Louis County.

Salary:
$33,132.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 12:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
One Sunday per month.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning and dusting of tables, counters, furniture, and shelving units in public areas, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Maintain floors to provide a safe and tidy atmosphere.
  • Clean restrooms to ensure a neat and sanitary environment for both customers and staff.
  • Keep staff work areas and break rooms clean and organized.
  • Maintain outdoor grounds to ensure a safe and tidy appearance.
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning projects and other assigned tasks to enhance the library's attractiveness and safety.
  • Assist in the setup of meeting rooms for library programs and external meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of custodial experience. A strong commitment to providing high-quality public service to library patrons and colleagues is essential.
