We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
Responsibilities- Assist in the performance of electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and ablations.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including cardiac catheterization labs and electrophysiology equipment.
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide critical care support as needed.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
- At least one year of experience in an electrophysiology lab or related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrophysiology procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- ARRT certification.
- Fluoroscopy permit.
