Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Chemist to join our team at J W Nutritional LLC. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all required analytical testing in accordance with current USP/NF and internal testing requirements.
  • Develop and conduct quality control programs for raw materials, chemical intermediates, and final products.
  • Provide support to QC and production departments by testing raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Work with chemical engineers and analytical chemists on multidisciplinary research and development projects.
  • Maintain reference standard inventory and ensure calibration of equipment is maintained.
  • Complete all lab testing reporting according to cGLPs and file and maintain completed lab reports.
Requirements
  • A minimum of BS in Chemistry or related science required.
  • Academic or industry experience performing analytical and wet chemistry testing (academic coursework alone will not be considered experience).
  • Able to provide technical advice for other professionals.
  • Practical knowledge of analytical equipment (FTIR, UV_VIS, Automatic Titrator, Polarimeter, TLC, wet chemistry tests, pH, Atomic Absorption, HPLC).
Personal Qualities
  • The ability to think analytically and solve problems, conceptualize, and complete tasks.
  • An aptitude for physics, mathematics, and chemistry.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • A willingness to improve their knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis.
  • The ability to work effectively with groups of people from various disciplines and educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to confidently represent QC and quality practices and decisions.
  • Confidently represent company interests to vendors and others.
