Job Overview

We are seeking a Job Coach to facilitate the growth and success of job candidates. In this role, you will be tasked with instructing candidates on specific workplace responsibilities and guiding them in developing essential work habits to help them secure and sustain competitive employment.

Position Type: Full-Time
Wages: $21.39 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify obstacles to employment for candidates, including issues related to accessibility, scheduling, and transportation.
  • Support the design and execution of systems to enhance operational efficiency and productivity, which may involve providing observational data, personalized training, and feedback to supervisors.
  • Assist candidates in reaching their employment objectives through tailored training, coaching, and support at job sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of case notes and other required information.
  • Deliver constructive and relevant feedback to job candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement specific skills training necessary for employability, utilizing diverse instructional methods such as role-playing, simulations, group discussions, and multimedia resources.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in human services or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least two years of experience in the human services sector is preferred.
  • Successful completion of background checks related to criminal history and dependent adult/child abuse.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals seeking employment.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Familiarity with job search techniques and the ability to conduct online searches.
  • Capability to manage tasks and community assignments independently.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of vehicle insurance.
