Key Responsibilities- Examine patients, diagnose dental/oral conditions, and prescribe treatment in accordance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient's dental record, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of care provided.
- Educate patients on oral health-related conditions and promote disease prevention.
- Supervise dental residents and students as needed.
- Participate in the Dental Quality Improvement Program and other health center committees.
- Assist in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and staff orientation.
- Travel as necessary to fulfill health center needs and attend meetings to represent the organization.
- Maintain and update skills and knowledge through continuing education courses and materials.
- Adhere to organizational standards and policies, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited dental school.
- Current Ohio DEA registration.
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Ohio.
- CPR – BLS (basic life support) certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
- Ability to work with a culturally-diverse staff and patient population.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with health center management and medical staff members.
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.
- Competitive salary range: $200,000-$275,000/year.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 4-year commitment.
