Operations Trainer

About the Role

The Operations Trainer is a key member of our Continuous Improvement team, responsible for delivering technical and operational training across our sugar refineries. With a strong background in manufacturing operations, this role will teach production line/area employees the fundamental skills needed to perform their jobs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Team Managers, Supervisors, and Operations Training Coordinator to develop and deliver technical training programs.
• Evaluate trainees for competency against training documentation and checklists.
• Provide supplementary training and coaching to ensure documented procedures and processes are understood by trainees.
• Contribute technical knowledge and insights to aid in the creation of training documentation.
• Deliver and promote Train the Trainer training courses and on-going coaching support to operators.
• Audit and rectify compliance gaps on standard work instructions and training material.
• Ensure consistency of application of training across the business and maintain alignment with corporate learning strategy.

Requirements

• Suitable relevant industry experience, particularly in a sugar refining, packaging or manufacturing maintenance role.
• 5-8 years of professional experience.
• Manufacturing Supervisory/Leadership experience significantly preferred.
• Working knowledge of common training methods.
