Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Amergis. The successful candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and assemble medical instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures.
  • Operate bar code instrument tracking system to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Work with operating room personnel to ensure specialty trays are handled in the prescribed manner.
  • Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test specialty instrumentation and equipment for proper functioning.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, documenting usage, issuing, receiving, and reordering as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
  • One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
