In this role, you will work with experienced physicians and provide care to patients in a successful healthcare organization.
Scope of the Job:Under direct supervision, you will administer radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and delivering the prescribed dose.
You will also support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:- Accurately deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
- Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into electronic medical records.
- Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
- Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information.
- Cut blocks, make custom molds, and complete simple mu calculations as needed.
- Interpret computerized treatment plans and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
- 0-3 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
- ARRT certification required.
- Valid state license for radiation therapy.
The work environment is fast-paced and rapidly changing, requiring flexibility and a passion for caring for patients.
