Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at the Microsurgical Spine Center. As a key member of our radiologic services, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures and imaging for patients in an outpatient surgery department.
About the RoleYour primary duties will include positioning patients, operating radiologic equipment, developing x-ray films, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to minimize radiation exposure. You will also maintain accurate records and collaborate with medical staff to facilitate effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform fluoroscopic procedures for the treatment of patients of all age groups, utilizing professional radiology practice standards.
- Determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shield patients appropriately.
- Positioning patients so that the correct parts of the body can be radiographed.
- Operate stationary or portable radiologic machines and take x-rays images of all parts of the human body for the physician to use in the diagnosis of disease or injury within the operating room.
- Produce x-ray films (radiographs), develop, make copies and fix x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology.
- Successful completion of a training program in radiologic technology.
- Knowledge of modern radiologic equipment and techniques; regional and gross anatomy of the human body; standardized radiologic clinical procedures; thorough knowledge of the hazards of radiologic materials and the safety precautions required; the operation and care of modern radiologic equipment; and the ordering and storing of supplies.
You will work in an ambulatory surgical center environment, where you will be able to work individually or as part of a team. You will be required to remain calm under pressure and multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a salaried position with a competitive annual salary range of $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) retirement plan with a company match, as well as additional benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
