MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:


Utilizes a range of commercial-grade and lightweight maintenance tools, including automatic scrubbers, floor strippers, waxers, buffers, polishers, wall washing devices, rug shampooers, vacuum cleaners, and various hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers.


TYPICAL DUTIES:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating diverse housekeeping and floor maintenance equipment to strip, wax, and polish floors. Engaging in wet and dry mopping, sweeping, and dusting activities.
  • Executing cleaning and sanitizing protocols, including fogging rooms and scrubbing floors, walls, furniture, and fixtures with disinfectants.
  • Cleaning walls, ceilings, and staircases; maintaining overhead fixtures such as vents and lights; vacuuming carpets, upholstery, and draperies; dusting and polishing furniture; changing linens.
  • Removing, washing, and re-hanging window treatments; cleaning windows both inside and out.
  • Emptying waste receptacles and collecting trash from designated areas; loading waste into larger disposal vehicles.
  • Cleaning large waste containers and maintaining kitchen and dining areas.
  • Performing various custodial tasks such as moving furniture, tightening hardware, cleaning elevator tracks, changing light bulbs, and snow removal.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of storage areas and equipment; performing additional related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess the ability to follow oral instructions effectively. The role requires continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to handle heavy and medium-weight materials and equipment is essential.

Exposure to refuse, dirt, dust, cleaning agents, and odors is expected in both indoor and outdoor environments; occasional exposure to infectious materials may occur.
