- Assesses, reviews, and recommends educational materials for student learning.
- Creates and utilizes a syllabus and course materials in accordance with state, college, and departmental guidelines.
- Maintains a high level of expertise in the discipline and teaching methods through ongoing professional development.
- Designs and implements effective teaching strategies and resources that cater to diverse student backgrounds and learning styles, fostering student engagement.
- Continuously evaluates and refines curricula and teaching practices through self-assessment.
- Adheres to professional standards and state regulations relevant to the discipline.

- Master's degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in English, Literature, Composition/Rhetoric, or a related field.
- Seeking a dynamic educator with a proven track record in teaching, as demonstrated in the applicant's Student Success Statement.
- The ideal candidate will effectively engage with community college students, promoting recruitment and retention, while supporting the overall departmental and college program.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the discipline through active professional involvement.
- Experience teaching at the community college or university level.
- Preference for candidates with two (2) or more years of experience teaching at the community college level.
- Preference for those who have taught dual credit courses or have experience in high school education.
- Preference for candidates with experience in distance learning instruction.
Salary Grade: MAST
Salary is determined based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
