Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Gather information and assist in the production of news stories and interview segments.
  • Collaborate with line producers, reporters, and anchors to gather elements and assist in the production of news stories and interview segments.
  • Research news segments and place them on appropriate platforms.
  • Edit video, including breaking news, using desktop editing systems.
  • Create digital video news products of day-of news stories using a variety of sources for multiplatform distribution.
  • Support reporters, anchors, and photojournalists with content needs.
  • Search wires and other partner sources for stories.

Qualifications:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related area of study at an Accredited Institution.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Cumulative GPA of or above.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
