Job Summary:

The certified pharmacy technician will provide assistance in the specialty area of the pharmacy by providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Outpatient pharmacy department, the state's professional standards and other regulatory entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete prior authorizations, data entry, packaging, inventory, and cashier duties
  • Provide safe and appropriate pharmacy services to patients
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations

Requirements:

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
  • Minimum one year experience as a certified pharmacy technician
  • Registered with the Maryland board of pharmacy
  • Certified pharmacy technician
  • Prior experience with Therigy specialty system a plus
