Job Summary:
Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Management Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Risk Management Consultant, you will perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for insurance underwriting purposes. These reports will help insurance companies properly insure commercial buildings or business operations for new policies or renewals of current policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial properties to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Prepare detailed reports on the findings, including recommendations for risk mitigation and control.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their risk management needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in risk management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in loss control services, preferably with a major carrier or as an independent contractor.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial property and casualty lines, including:
- Property assessments, including determining the adequacy of sprinkler systems based on occupancy, commodities, and racking systems.
- Inland Marine coverages, including builders risk, contractor's equipment, motor truck cargo, WLL, MOLL, and other specialty coverage.
- Commercial General Liability, including Premises, Operations, Products, and Completed Operations.
- Workers Compensation assessments for regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
- Loss analysis involving identification of trends, root cause, and appropriate corrective action.
- Specialty fields such as Environmental and Professional Liability.
- Risk Improvement services including training, consulting, hazard analysis, and regulatory assessments.
- Solid communication skills, including exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM are preferred but not required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams through a special website or complete reports on web-based systems.
- Travel within a reasonable territory, 50-mile radius.
