Overview

Epic Care is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payment of payer and patient account balances.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and perform collection duties
  • Review reports, research, and resolve issues
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance providers, update information in systems, and document conversations
  • Answer patient payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolve complaints
  • Maintain credit balances of patients and payors ensuring timely refunds within government guidelines/regulations
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two (2) years combined medical billing and payment experience required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines
