PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately diagnose and repair vehicles within a reasonable timeframe, ensuring a level of quality that surpasses customer expectations.
  • Conduct advanced removal and replacement tasks, as well as diagnostic work, in accordance with daily work orders, covering various systems including emission controls, electrical issues, and drivability concerns.
  • Provide comprehensive training to service department members on vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Assist management with daily operations, including pricing work orders and supervising service department staff.
  • Understand and perform all duties associated with various technician roles.
  • Adhere to safety regulations while operating machinery and tools.
  • Support other service department roles as needed based on business demands.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities necessary for customer service or as assigned.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Utilizes diagnostic tools and equipment safely and effectively, including diagnostic scan tools and smoke machines. The company provides essential tools such as air impact guns and torque wrenches, while employees are expected to supply their own basic tool sets.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certified Master Technician status.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in automotive maintenance and diagnostics.

ASE Certifications Required:

  • Suspension and Steering
  • Brakes

  • Refrigerant Recovery & Recycling
  • Engine Repair
  • Electrical/Electronic Systems

  • Auto Advanced Engine Performance

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING ABILITIES

Proficient in basic mathematical operations and able to interpret data and graphs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular standing, walking, and the use of hands to operate tools. The technician must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 100 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Technicians typically work in a fast-paced environment, often exposed to mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noise levels.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required, along with a background check as part of the employment process.
