**Job Summary**

As a Dishroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dishroom. This is a critical position that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities**

1. Run dishes and silverware through the dish machine, adhering to established procedures to ensure optimal cleanliness and efficiency.

2. Clean and maintain designated equipment and areas, following management protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

3. Maintain a clean and organized dishroom, ensuring all areas are tidy and free of clutter.

4. Ensure a sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups, and glasses during service periods, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.

5. Clean and maintain the dish machine after every meal, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and Parkhurst standards.

6. Sweep and mop the dishroom floor at the end of each day, emptying the mop bucket to maintain a clean and safe environment.

7. Perform weekly de-liming of the dish machine, following manufacturer guidelines and Parkhurst protocols.

8. Scrub and soak all stained cups on a weekly basis, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

9. Exercise extreme caution when using chemicals, following all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk.

10. Follow the established cleaning schedule, utilizing 'clean as you go' techniques to maintain a clean and efficient dishroom.

11. Maintain open communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed to maintain a smooth operation.

12. Adhere to the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene, reflecting positively on Parkhurst Dining.

13. Follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards, utilizing Smile Plus hospitality imperatives to provide exceptional customer service.

14. Assist fellow associates at every opportunity, promoting teamwork and collaboration in the dishroom.

15. Perform any other duties assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic.

**Qualifications**

**Physical Demands**
